Abstract: The research of media-dependent folklore forms includes the study of folkloric reactions to current events. In 2015, a conference titled “Newslore and Medialore in the Contemporary World: Folklorisation of Reality” was held. The participants discussed the issues of creation and transmission of folkloric texts, their structure and social functions.
