Abstract: The book under review is a text-book on ethnolinguistics for Bachelor level students. Unlike many other Russian text-books on similar topics, it strictly follows methodological lines and covers all the topics within the problem of language and culture interaction. The author uses novel materials to illustrate theoretical assumptions. The majority of this work was collected during the author’s field trips to Siberia and Africa. The book is written in a vibrant and easy manner which makes it accessible not only for university students but for a wider public as well.
