Andrei Tiukhtiaev European University at St Petersburg Abstract: Kaarina Aitamurto’s research concerns Russian Neopaganism. It provides detailed descriptions of the narratives used by Russian neopagans to present their movement. The author focuses on two famous Rodnoverie communities, namely the Circle of Pagan Tradition and the Union of Slavic Communities of the Slavic Native Faith. Aitamurto makes an attempt to investigate Russian Neopaganism by putting it into the context of late-modern religiosity theories. The review considers how the author’s theoretical and methodological preferences influenced the means of data interpretation. Keywords: Neopaganism, rodnoverie, traditionalism, nationalism.
